Blue Diamond

Blue Diamond is the name given by my friends in Virginia where they the design at their ANG Chapter. After I come home after attending the ANG Seminar in Baltimore, my enbroidery guild asked me to teach some canvas work. I designed the piece using the newer stitches such as Jessicas. It has stimulated much in the local embroidery guild and was enjoyed in USA. The threads I have used are overdyed in South Africa.

Competition

The competition was called stitching up a storm. I found a picture and copied the idea rather than the actual picture. I experimented with different stitches.

First-timer Ornament

I finished my first-timers ornament for the ANG Seminar Auction. I had a reply that it had arrived. I really enjoyed doing it and would to like to make more pieces for the Auctions. It does raise funds for the ANG.

Canvas Work

This is a piece that I did when my embroidery guild had it's tenth annivesary. I called it Celebration. It was for a competition but I didn't win any prizes, but that was not the reason for doing it. More to create an awareness of canvas work although I still have lots to learn!!! Not a very good photo. All the glasses have a different stitch. I used DMS light effects threads blended with a similar colour of stranded cotton. I also included beads and crystals and metallic threads.

This is a close up!!
